B O N E S PaidProgramming Review Hi everyone, Teamthany Seshtano here, Teen Ink’s busiest music nerd and it’s time for a classic review of the 2013 Bones mixtape, PaidProgramming. Elmo O’ Connor other wise known as Bones, or [emailprotected] Kid if you’re looking at his earlier work,is a Michigan/ California rapper, part of the independent label known as TeamSesh and a part of the underground rap group SeshHolloWaterBoyz. This is the 29th tape under his belt and this isn’t really not an ordinary Bones tape because this is where, at least for me, where Bones started to really define a new image for himself. Even though it’s still in the style of his three previous tapes, those tapes being CRACKER, SCUMBAG, and CREEP, the overall concept of the album is what really draws me in and how interesting it is. The concept being of I guess just sitting in your home, late at night and just watching the Paid Programming portion of a certain channel. It’s almost like you’re visualizing a grainy city background covered in fog, at least that’s what I visualized, still pretty decent instrumental nonetheless. Now the next track titled JonathanTaylorThomas, is the first song that Bones actually raps and it seems to be about those whom Bones dislikes trying to be on his level, comparing them a to a young Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Saying how they’ll never actually earn respect or money doing what they’re doing and eventually end up dead in game by the hands of Bones, adding onto the song however, is Bones going even harder on this person saying how nobody is going to miss him and how they memory of the person will slowly fade into obscurity or even to the point where the man’s parents lied to his face about making it in life. Just a bit of a disclaimer, there are quite a few references to drugs and money in Bones’ music, though he does make sure there is a decent variety of songs with differing subjects. The third song here titled WakingUpCrying, which is about I guess having some sort of smoking session with a girl he met though it does devolve into a bit of bragging when he talks about riding off in a yacht with a swimming pool on the top or how he’s a slim young pimp with twenty beepers on his hip. That is until Jonny Telafone comes in with some very tear stained and somber vocals, crying for the girl that Bones is with, wondering what else to do as he soaks his pillows with his tears. The next song up which I personally enjoy, titled RotatingBed sort of brings it back to concept of the album a bit with the beat and overall tone. The song is about Bones missing a girl and how his life really isn’t complete without her in his life, stating how he doesn’t how to act or to be sane when she isn’t around. Sorry if the format seems a little repetitive, I’m just trying to do a short review of each song so bear with me a little bit. So, the next song titled Dial-Up seems to have a more mean mugging vibe to it while also taking place in two separate years it seems. Bones is in 2003 talking with someone’s girl on Nextel phone in a black Mercedes Benz jeep. While the guest feature on the song by Na$ty Matt is about him being in 2005, having casual sex with a few girls like they’ve had their tubes tied and riding in a Mercedes Benz with a machete on his side referring to himself as a dirtbag which is sort of fitting by the content of his lyrics. The next song in the track listing titled AmericanBeauty actually samples the movie that it’s named after, it’s the final quote of the movie actually before the character played by Kevin Spacey, is embracing his own death, which Bones likes to do in his music. After that however, Bones starts to go into a brag rap direction, talking about he has the dope and the flow, though the chorus oddly enough is the same chorus from Aaron Carter’s song, How I beat shaq. He then goes on to describe his day as he wakes up, wondering how much time he could kill as he rolls his first ‘bone’. Then the song devolves into Bones talking about how other’s aren’t as good as him or his label. Now another thing to sort of bear with in this review is that Bones, like many other rappers, enjoys talking about how successful he is which isn’t a bad thing at all as long as you keep the song interesting. Next song in the tracklisting is called 281-330-8004, which is Mike Jones’ old personal number from 2005. In the song he talks about how he’s got friends that don’t talk to him because he I guess he would rather silently communicate than draw attention to themselves. Describing his popularity as Macaulay Culkin’s back in 1992 which makes sense in the popularity sense though doesn’t really make much sense in the way he got that popularity. The next cut on the album is 7DayOutlook, which samples an old weather channel ad fitting back in with the theme and concept of the album.Fellow Sesh member Dylan Ross is on this track for hook, telling those frauds in his life to stay out of it, telling them that because of them he no longer has any l ove to give. Bones then gets into his verse, saying how he doesn’t wear brand name clothes and wears his label’s merch, and also listens to his own music because he feels that rappers today aren’t up to his level. A more somber track up next titled Cut and seems to be about Bones deeply missing this girl to the point where he can’t think straight, as his mind fills with feelings of regret and sadness. Looking back on his memories with her, hoping that this girl feels the same when she thinks about him. He even retraces his steps at one point, however those he meets on the way don’t satisfy him, knowing they can’t relate to his situation. Eventually he wishes for death, know that he’ll never see her again. The next song in the track listing titled FlashFloodWatch is about those who hate on Bones but still listen to his music. However Bones knows of this and begins to tear into these ‘secret fans’, seeing their hate as them throwing him in the water and just watching him sink to the bottom. Bones then talks about how these ‘secret fans’ don’t really know what he’s like as they’ve never been or seen a live show, however it comes back to sort of that brag rap style at the end of the song which is to be sort of expected. The next song, which is a vocal performance rather than a rap song is called TeenageBoy now, if you don’t know already, Bones is a pretty talented singer at times at least for me. He’s even got a little side project with Sesh Producer Greaf called surrenderdorothy where it’s just vocals, though I can see why people wouldn’t like this song or any other sad Bones song because, most now come to get hy ped up and it’s unique to that variety again in Bones’ music but I digress. The track begins with a sample from the Adam Sandler movie the wedding singer, before singing about him and a girl, which is pretty formulaic at this point but think about the song and the context it’s in. It’s like some weird kid at school who entered the talent show and sings for the girl he can’t talk because he feels that if he makes any form of contact with this girl she’ll reject him. Next song up is titled Snow and it seems to be about Bones revisiting locations from his childhood/teenager days and seeing how much they’ve changed since he left. Though he is unsure of whether or not the roads have changed however. Up next is the song SevereWeatherWarning which is about Bones describing how these labels want him but they can’t have him, as Bones is more akin to staying an underground artist. Eventually talking about his blade and his girl near and at the end of the song. However, the song after that titled Rust is probably the most depressing song on the album in which Bones goes a more tear stained and hateful approach to missing someone. Talking about losing all the love he could give because he already wasted it on someone who really didn’t need it, saying that the person may miss him but not actually. Even though it’s sort of implied that the person Bones is talking about feels this way, as some whimpering is heard at the end. Then we hear the interlude titled 30DayFreeTrial, which is pretty catchy and pleasing after Rust. The next song is titled StoneColdStunner, features Wiccaphase on vocals, saying how girls only like him because he looks like Bones or how he feels like a leech comparing himself to basically a clone of him and nothing else. Bones then talks about how he can’t stop whatever he is doing, that probably being smoking dope and doing whatever he wants, calling out for somebody to save him. The song up next HeavyFog is a pretty standard Bones song, talking about rolling up ‘bones’, brandishing his knife, and how his writing is flawless. The song after however Called TeenGirlDiesAtRave, I feel yet again fits back in with the concept a bit, as if say an after school special comes on TV and it’s about drug abuse. The intro on the song takes place at a night club I guess and Bones is with his friend Claire, however he finds her on the floor not breathing and comes to the conclusion that she overdosed on pills and died. Then the song kicks off with a sample from a rave song titled,†Wipe away my tears†, after a while Bones starts to get into his verse, describing the last moments of Claire’s life as she slowly dies however he diverts from this narrative near the end. However, it jumps back from the theme and concept in the song ScatteredShowers, where Bones talks about how he was always the best without ever even noticing it before and then proceeds to talk about dope and how these other rappers are too scared to follow their dreams. GrandfathersRing is the next song, immediately talking about how he’s young and handsome like the Hansons or how doesn’t care about his image as long as he gets his ash. However at the outro, it yet again for another time comes back to the concept and theme of the tape, where it’s basically a radio traffic and weather report which will tie into the end of the album. The next song titled 2006 is about how these scared, weak rappers need to step up their overall capital. At the end talking about how you’ll never catch him in Jordans dissing snapbacks aswell. The next two songs are pretty alright in my opinion the first one being Skin, which is another song about Bones and his lust for blunts and dope. The other being Blink187 which does sample actually sample a Blink182 song known as †All The Small things.†. Bones then begins to talk about his extravagant bathroom as he smokes a blunt, threatening those mess with his brother saying they’l l be on First 48. The song after that is CracksInTheRoad, which is about Bones partying at some sort of exotic place with strange artifacts, eventually leaving the party at the end. The last three songs on here, two out of three are pretty standard Bones tracks aside from the very last one. 5EasyPayments pretty standard, Bones talking about smoking dope or how he dropped out and made his own music. Now the second to last song is titled DelicateHands, which is about him trying not to lose feelings for a girl, at the same time trying to express his true feelings to her. The final song on the album is more of a Ten Minute Skit than a song, it’s called Sesh Radio: Volume 1. Now before I get into this one, there are two other Sesh Radio skits on two other tapes, those being Rotten and the sequel to this tape, PaidProgramming2. So it opens with a song by an alter ego by Bones named Ricky A Go Go, before actually getting into the news portion lead by ‘Sesh anchor Kip Chiperly’. This right here this skit is what really brings out the concept and theme which I personally enjoy very much. Kip finishes the weather report in which it then fades into a p oem it seems, which is sampled from an old Chanel No.5 ad.The passage finally ends, and an unknown anchor is heard talking about the local ‘Sesh Fest’ cutting to the live feed down at the scene. However, it is implied that there actually is no Sesh fest because of the phoned in yelling at the ‘event’.The feed eventually cuts out, before another Ricky song plays, talking about walking down a lonely road at night. However, the unknown anchor returns and plays the next on the ‘playlist’ titled,TimeshareCondominium, this song later lands on another Bones tape titled DeadBoy. Though I won’t be talking about this song because I’m more focused on the skit than the song in the skit(however if people want, I could review DeadBoy). The song eventually ends and another Sesh Anchor, named Bobby Hallofax, begins to take calls from listeners. The only person who calls, named Pamela, doesn’t seem to speak english however Bobby takes this as show of support. Though he stops taking calls and plays an unknown song TeamSesh song before the track finally ends. So overall I loved the concept and the aesthetic of the album though I can see why people wouldn’t like this album. Bones seems to talk about the same thing sometimes, though he does try to keep it interesting. Mixing different styles of rapping, singing, and in some of his tapes he even full on screams. Personally though, if you want to at least try and get your friend or friends into Bones I would try this album because it’s not too strong and it’s not too light, giving you the variety of styles Bones can have on a tape. No immigrant, whether documented or not, would want to call for police intervention, even when faced with serious security matters. There have been reports that documented immigrants are running away from Arizona because they fear undergoing racial profiling. Supporters of the new immigration law, however, are saying that it will reduce crime in Arizona and create more employment opportunities for the citizens of America (Archibold). My opinion is that the safety of Arizona people and the U.S. as a whole should be given priority, and therefore, this law is intended to enforce security and reduce crimes in Arizona. Even those Mexicans that, as critics claim, are targeted by this immigration law also need to be safe while walking on the streets of Arizona. I totally agree with the supporters of this law. As much as the law might seem harsh on illegal immigrants, the security and the needs of the Arizona people come first. Giving aliens the opportunity to work in Arizona to better their lives is a good thing, but allowing them to enter and stay in the U.S. illegally is very risky, since not all immigrants have good intentions. On the other hand, not all unlawful immigrants are bad, and therefore, they should not be blamed for the violence that is happening in Arizona (Beard). But the fact still remains that the U.S. is among the most powerful nations in the world, and it cannot take for granted its national security, especially after the 9/11 attack, and that is why Arizona State is not taking chances with the security of its people. Seemingly, the Obama administration is more concerned with revival of the U.S. economy and does not give more priority to immigration laws; therefore the Arizona legislature was right in passing the law to protect the Arizona state from its high crime rate. The new Arizona Immigration Law is a controversial topic that has divided people in the U.S. into two distinct groups: with one group supporting the law, while the other opposing it. Supporters argue that there has been increased violence in the border regions of Arizona, as evident by the killing of Robert Krentz, a Cochise County rancher, close to a Mexican border by a drug smuggler (Wagner). In addition, two police officers based in Phoenix were murdered by illegal immigrants in 2007, and in 2010, a deputy sheriff was injured in a gun battle by males that were alleged to be drug smugglers from Mexico City. These incidents increased a negative public perception of Arizona, with the national media depicting the region as a border for bloodshed (Wagner). The proponents of SB 1070 have cited rates of incarceration, as an indication that undocumented immigrants are contributing to the high crime rate in Arizona. Varying statistics have been reported on the number of imprisoned illegal immigrants. For instance, Jack Harris, the Phoenix Police Chief, stated that illegal immigrants constitute 10% of the arrests in his department; a number that is near to the percentage of unlawful immigrants in the U.S. Statistics from Maricopa County sheriff's office (it runs prison for Phoenix and neighboring cities), however, reported that undocumented immigrants constitute 20% of its inmates (Wagner). Proponents of the law are strongly convinced that criminals from Mexico are increasingly entering the U.S. via Arizona, thus increasing insecurity in the country. However, according to the sheriff of Pima County, Dupnik, the insecurity issue at the Arizona border was a media creation. In fact, he said that the border is more secure now than before (Wagner). Dupniks opinion was confirmed by the recent study, which found out that the numbers of immigrants who engage in crime in Arizona are fewer compared to nationals of the state. Since the 1990s when illegal immigrants began pouring in Arizona, there has been a general decrease in crime in the state; for instance, in 1995, the rate of property crimes reduced to 43%. Some critics of the Arizona immigration law are in agreement with their counterparts who support the law with regards to illegal immigrants committing fewer crimes. Nonetheless, they maintain that public safety is their main drive for supporting the law. The executive director of the Arizona Police Assn., Mr. Brian Livingston, who was previously opposed to the law, said that he changed his mind, following complaints from a Latina that illegal immigrants engaging in criminal activities in her neighborhood were not being arrested. Though he admitted that illegal immigrants come to the U.S. for a good course (seeking better life or fleeing violence in Mexico), he was quick to point out that there are criminal elements among immigrants, and they are the main target of the new law i.e. the smugglers who prey good people from Mexico (Wagner). Currently, Phoenix has developed into a center of human trafficking, and its escalating crime rate is similar to other main cities in Mexico. Over 240 cases of kidnapping and human smuggling were reported in Phoenix in 2008 alone. This shows just how insecure the state of Arizona is, and only the enforcement of a stringent law, such as the SB1070, will help bring safety to the state, and the U.S. in general (Archibold). It has been reported that illegal immigrants in Arizona sell grenades in the black market. However, Jack Harris, the Phoenix Police Chief, disagreed with this report saying that the criminality of illegal immigrants in Arizona was being exaggerated. Harris refuted the notion that getting rid of illegal immigrants will lead to a significant reduction in crime in Arizona, dismissing the argument as a political opportunism (Archibold). Civil rights activist groups, such as the American Civil Liberties Union, termed the new Arizona immigration law unconstitutional. Other people who have joined in the protests against the new Arizona immigration laws are music celebrities such as Lady Gaga, who, while addressing a gathering at the U.S. Airways Center, said that she would join hands with others to hold a peaceful protest against the law (Sacks). Even President Obama said that the law is misguided, promising that it will be looked into by the Justice Department. He said that the fact that the law necessitates aliens to carry their documents wherever they go puts them at risk of being harassed by the police, and that is not the right approach to tackling insecurity issues in the U.S. I totally disagree with those who oppose this law, who have maintained that the law is inhuman and encourages racism. I still maintain that the law is well-intentioned and is meant to protect the Arizona people from insecurity risks. It is important to note that other nations in the world have similar documentation prerequisites as Arizona. What Arizona did was merely adding a state punishment to what is already a state crime in the U.S. It has been a crime ffor foreigners in the U.S. to fail to keep their documents with them; therefore, the Arizona immigration law is nothing new; it is just an enforcement of the existing immigration law. In addition, some people argue that the law encourages racial profiling. According to Lourdes Medrano, an opponent of the law, racial profiling is illegal not only in the U.S., but also in Arizona (Archibold). He argues that the law permits police officials to stop and ask persons about their immigration status when there is a reasonable suspicion t hat a person is in the U.S. illegally, and he wonders what criteria the police would use in their assessment to determine who is an illegal immigrant. He maintains that not every illegal immigrant in the U.S. is involved in criminal activities, and that they greatly contribute to the development of the U.S. economy, and sending them away will negatively impact on the U.S. economy. This is because the jobs the illegal immigrants do are those rejected by the American citizens, yet they are very important to the U.S. economy (Archibold). I do not agree with the argument that the law encourages racial profiling; in fact, Section 2 of the Arizona Immigration law clearly states that the police cannot exclusively consider color, race or nationality to determine the immigration status of people, or to make traffic stops. Therefore, I think that this law actually prevents racial harassment by the police, because it requires officers to get in touch with the federal government immediately when they suspect that a person is illegally in the U.S., rather than arresting them based on their own evaluation (Spakovsky). Some critics of the law argue that it is unfair for the law to demand that aliens carry their driving license wherever they go. This claim is not true; the Arizona immigration law does not require anyone to carry a drivers license, be it a U.S. national or an alien. Since, only legal residents of Arizona are given licenses, a police officer assumes that a foreigner with a driving license is legally in the U.S., and therefore, he or she is given a free pass at stop points, regardless of their immigration status (Archibold). Though critics claim that the law is unconstitutional since immigration is a responsibility of the federal government, and that Arizona State has no mandate to enforce such a law, I totally disagree. I admit that Washington DC hold the key authority when it comes to matters of immigration, but it is also important to note that since 1976, the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized that the federal law should not prevent states from ratifying laws that are aimed at discouraging unlawful immigration. As long as the U.S. Congress has not outlawed this statute, then Arizona is right to implement such a law. That is why the U.S. Court of Appeal (Ninth Circuit) sustained the Arizona law in 2007, which made it unlawful to intentionally employ unauthorized foreigners in Arizona (Archibold). Supporters of the Arizona immigration law say that the law tackles the immigration issue better when compared to the federal government. According to statistics by the U.S. Border Patrol, close to 50% of seizures of illegal immigrants take place in Arizona. President Obama said in the recent past that his government will focus on illegal immigrants engaged in criminal activities, and that it is the responsibility of the Department of Justice to handle immigration, as opposed to state governments (Markon). My question is: what if the Department of Justice is reluctant in carrying out its duty, will the individual states faced with high crime rates such as Arizona sit back and do nothing? Certainly not, that is why I support the new immigration law. Arizona State is simply taking responsibility for its peoples welfare and security. Immigration law in any country is intended to govern the migration of people. In an attempt to seek for greener pastures, foreigners go to nations deemed to have better opportunities either by legal means or illegally. Increased insecurity issues especially the 9/11 attack, led the U.S. Government to enact stringent immigration laws to check the legal status of immigrants. Arizona State, especially Phoenix, has grown to be a hub for illegal immigration, and consequently, crime rates in that city have increased tremendously (Archibold). In response to the growing insecurity and crime, the Arizona legislature enacted the Arizona immigration law, a law which provoked varied opinions from the public. While critics maintain that the law is discriminatory and encourages racism, its supporters argue that the law will ensure public safety. I absolutely support the law, because public safety should be a priority of any caring nation. But since the Obama administration is more concerned with r eviving the U.S. economy at the expense of insecurity caused by illegal immigrants, the Arizona legislature was right to enact the law to get rid of the illegal immigrants, who have been associated with the increased crime rate in that state. Views on bullying in schools Essay a) Legal View The legal system rarely deals with cases of bullying though there are some laws that have been set up to fight against it. This is mainly because there are many cases of bullying that are not very serious. The legal system hence allows the school to deal with these small minor cases. Schools and the parents are given a chance to work together to come up with strategies that help prevent and stop it. It is important for the bullying cases to be handled quickly and efficiently before they bring more damages when they become too serious (Antibullying, n. d). This however does not eliminate the chances of legal action being used to stop the bullying. There are circumstances that call for legal intervention as a last resort due to the seriousness of the incident. The parents, victims and other bystanders have the responsibility to report the incident to the police. Legal action can also be carried out if the other methods that have been used to intervene by the parents and the teachers have failed. It is also encouraged when there is a possibility that the bullying will reduce once the case is reported. When the bullying also takes place outside the school compound, the parents and teachers together with the community can cooperate with the police to prevent and stop it. Bullying is treated as an offence that is against the law when it becomes too serious and the consequences are very damaging. It is seen to affect the rights of other individuals and their freedom. When it is carried out against other students on the basis of race and cultural differences it is termed as being racism (Antibullying, n. d). b) Parents, Teachers and School Administrators View Despite the seriousness of the matter, some views exist that portray the behavior of bullying as acceptable. Parents have been known to have views on bullying that encourage the practice even further especially if it is their child who is bullying others. Some parents hold the view that boys will be boys. This view tends to imply that physical bullying is an acceptable behavior and hence they encourage the children to be more aggressive and physically abuse other children. Research has proven that the aggressive behavior to bully is learnt and it is not a natural response (The National ALLIANCE for Parent Centers, 2003). Some other views that are used by parents include the view that words cannot hurt. This view is argued that even though the words do not leave any physical marks or bruises on the children they are able to leave emotional scars that are more damaging than the physical bruises and words. The words spoken tend to have long term consequences and effects on the victims as they affect the self esteem and confidence. Some bullies are able to learn this from an early age and they use this approach to intimidate other children (The National ALLIANCE for Parent Centers, 2003). Bullying by some parents is viewed as a natural part of childhood and they tend to dismiss their children when they disclose the fact that they are being bullied in schools (The National ALLIANCE for Parent Centers, 2003). Parents normally take up this view since the occurrence of bullying is so common hence it looks like a normal thing to occur to children when they are in school. The truth of the matter is that the aggression that is both physical and emotional should not be taken to be a normal part of childhood and action should be taken against it. Some parents are of the view that bullying is carried out to make the children become tougher. They hold the opinions that the more that the children are bullied the more they are able to toughen up and become strong emotionally and physically. The truth however is that bullying lowers their self esteem and makes them more afraid. It also lowers their self worth and affects their academic and social life even in their adulthood. To what extent is the proposed Scottish split from British Rule beneficial for either country? The economical bond between England and Scotland has stood since the Acts of Union in 1707. Years of undivided companionship have convinced the majority of the world that there are no borders separating the U.K countries. This, it seems, has taken its toll on the Scottish Government. As after centuries of companionship they have decided to follow Ireland’s example and propose independence. Whether or not this was a wise move by the Scottish National Party leader, Alex Salmond, is up for debate. The true extent of pros and cons, although they will vary depending on public viewpoints, will be uncovered on the 18th September 2014 at the final vote count. The benefits of the proposed split, on Scotland’s side, are outweighed by the troubles that will be brought by attempting to enter the EU, the Economy and National Debt. If independence is granted, the UK will exit the split with no significant change while Scotland will face immense struggles. The most compelling argument against independence, from an economic view, is the problem of the Euro. There is an abundance of current turmoil in several countries, where leaders are facing similar independence issues to the UK. Several international leaders, facing devolution movements, are openly hostile towards the Scottish Referendum. Those in the EU are particularly dismissive. EU rules state that those who wish to join must adopt the Euro. Britain and Denmark have exclusive permission from Brussels, which is considered to be the de facto capital of the European Union, to use independent currency. The fact that Scottish National Party (current government in power) wishes to keep the pound... ...oil reserves will not only abandon the UK but according to Shell’s statement Scotland will be stranded as well. since February 2002, approximately 15, 000 Canadian soldiers have served in Afghanistan. 78 Canadian Forces (CF) casualties have occurred, including one diplomat. The role of the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan is often debated. Many disagree with the mission and want the CF to leave Afghanistan now. Doing this however would only be failing the Canadian commitment to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and NATO. Canada should keep its commitment and remain in Afghanistan until the mission is complete. Afghanistan is in state that is almost beyond third-world. However, the mission that Canada is currently involved in has improved the country drastically and will continue to do so as long as the mission continues. So why take the chance and leave when Canada could further development and security ? Canada is not just involved in a combat role. We are also deployed to help rebuild the country. If Canada leaves now we would not only break our commitment to NATO, however to the Afghan people who really need the help as well. Three major reasons to why Canadians are still in Afghanistan and should continue to be in Afghanistan are national security, development of infrastructure and systems , and economics. This alone should be the reason why the Canadian forces should continue their duty in Afghanistan. Even though Canadians are spending billions of dollars ensuring the safety and security of a country that is highly regarded as â€Å"hopeless† in a sense where its highly doubted that this country will ever be stable. It is not only there obligation but there duty because of the commitment they made and as one the wealthier countries Canada cannot stand idly by and fail to help one of the poorest countries in the world. There are now 2,500 Canadian Forces personnel participating in the Afghanistan mission most of them being in the most most troubled province of Kandahar. They are there to help the security situation and to help extend the authority in the government. Also the Canadian forces is training both the Afghanistan National Army and Afghani police force and by doing this, citizens could feel more eat ease knowing that their local police force or national army could provide safety and security from the warlord and tali bans. They have taken on the role of Investing in the future of Afghan children and youth through development programming in education and health and improving the lives of Afghans, especially women and children. The Afghan people are relying on the international community to help them rebuild their lives and their country after having suffered through decades of instability, oppression and insurgency.
